Stay Motivated!

Hello There!
I just had to share....
While surfing the web one day, I ran across an awesome site called; The Daily Motivator, by Ralph S. Marston, Jr. .
Since that day, I've made it a point to read Ralph's posts EVERYDAY, some days I will re-read them as needed throughout the day, just to help keep things in a positive perspective. In this fast paced, crazy world we can all use a little positive inspiration!!!
He is very generous with his work, as he allows everyone to read them for free everyday and he writes a new motivator each day with the exception of Sundays.
His work has been a great motivator for me and really helps keep things simple & positive.
Anyway, I just wanted to share his site, because I feel it's truly a gift for everyone and should be shared with as many people possible!
Wishing you all a very successful & creative day.
Here's the link to Ralph's Daily Motivator: http://greatday.com/
Cheers, Lisa
PS... I'd love to hear if you enjoy his site, as much as I do, so feel free to comment!

Here's a fun card made w/ my Expression & DS Software... Click the Fence Card & see it BIG :)

Hi there....
I just wanted to share my latest card creation, I used my Cricut Expression machine and Design Studio software for this one.
The base of the card is the fence from the Paper Dolls cartridge.
The Happy Birthday and cute little pups w/ balloons are from the Paper Pups cartridge.
Fence is white card stock covered (front & back) w/ Basic Grey Paper, Happy Birthday is loaded w/ Martha Stuart Glitter, Pups are chalked & have wiggle eyes, Balloons are 3D w/ Paper Glaze & MS Glitter & last but not least some heart eyelets and pink string bows.
One of the great things about the DS software, is the ability to save everything you create and if I want to make this card next year... Walla, it is as simple as, open the file and press cut.
Anyway, this is my entry for the BBTB contest on Regina's blog... Enjoy & Be Smart, Create Art!

Cricut Design Studio Software... IS A MUST HAVE ITEM!!!!

Last night I decided to order the Cricut Design Studio software. At this time yesterday, it wasn't on the Cricut website yet, but I thought I'd take my chances and order it anyway.
There was a lot of speculation, that Cricut had decided not to release the free trial version of the Design Studio. So... I was delighted, to receive an email from Cricut today offering me that free trial version.
The trial version will allow you to cut from the original cartridges that came with your Bug, so you can see how the software works. You'll also be able to access all of the Cricut cartridges, but only to explore and play with them on, the on screen cutting mat. Once you purchase the software, you will be able to cut from any cartridge that you own.
In my opinion the software should have come with the Cricut to begin with, it's definitely worth having.
You can also download the software (full version, not trial) from
Cricut.com for $89.95 and if you pay an additional $8.95 SH fee, they will send you the rest of the items (Install CD, USB cable & mouse pad) some time in January. Better yet, you can just go buy your own USB cable to connect you Cricut to your PC or if you're like us, you may already have an extra USB cable in a box in the garage...LOL.
Be Smart Create Art!!!
Have a AWESOME weekend everyone.

Delight Loved Ones with a Handmade Card or Gift...

There are so many fascinating arts and crafts out there, if you open your mind... You can have a blast. There's tons of free: How to instructions, templates, patterns, etc., via the net. There are ton's of magazines and books for learning all sorts of crafts. You can also find special crafts shows on television.
There's nothing more delightful than giving and or receiving a handmade card or gift.
Almost 2 years ago, I discovered paper crafting. The adventure began with a plan to create a scrapbook... Who would have ever known that I, would become a paper-crafting junkie. As far as that scrapbook, well I did make one page and it's pretty cute, but once I discovered card making, that was it, I never made another scrapbook page. But, I have made hundreds of cards since that day. Our home has been taken over by crafting goodies, but creating cards is one of my favorite ways to relax.
So, if you decide to dabble in creating your own special cards or gifts... Proceed with caution or soon you will have rooms in your home, dedicated as the "Craft Rooms"... LOL!

BE SMART... CREATE ART....
Be sure to join the pleadge to give and recieve only handmade items this year!!!!!
