To Live A Creative Life....

Hi everyone! How's it going? I see that you've all been pouring your hearts into your amazing creations, such beautiful work out there.

I've been trying my hand at mixed media on wooden canvases & paper, these days. Here are som of my latest creations.

My DH helped me out by making me all of the blank, wooden canvases to work on. He did a great job, as always.

Enjoy!

You Know What They Say About Curiosity...

Well, thank goodness I'm not a cat or even better that it hasn't killed me yet!

Here's the deal, my curiosity was killing me about the new Cricut Explore, I held out as long as I could and finally broke down and bought one a week or so ago.  There are a ton of mixed reviews, but so far I think it's pretty nice. I'm impressed with it's precise cuts and ease of use. I do feel that Silhouette Studio Designer Edition has the edge, as far as creative freedom. The main reason, I choose to upgrade, is because I own sooooo many cartridges. So far so good.

Below are the 1st few things I cut with the Explore

I love both machines :):):)

Learning Mixed Media & Loving It...

It's been a while, but I'm still here! I've been doing a lot more creating this year and a lot less posting (as if that's actually possible).  I can never seem to find the right balance for the two. So, I've decided to just do what i can do and that's that. How is everyone enjoying this beautiful new year? Every now and then, I do take a quick peek and see all the lovely things you're all creating and wow, just gorgeous!!!

We've been working on a healthy lifestyle in our home, which includes clean eating & a lot more movement... yoga, P90X workouts, walking, running, bicycling, etc. It feels amazing!

Here are some pic's of what I've been up to this year, which includes learning and trying my hand at some mixed media. Hope you like it, I'm addicted for sure.

My Journal... A page in progress.
You can see some of the TP roll stencils sitting by the drawer here. Just cut them up and shape them, it's that simple!
Practice (stencils here are recycled goods such as; toilet paper rolls & yogurt cups)

Practice (doodles and stamping)
And more practice (leaves using modeling paste and a stencil)
Another TP roll stencil.
and a mini page made with that TP roll stencil :)

 Happy creating.
