Unique Recycled Christmas Packaging!
Hi Everyone!
I hope you're all enjoying your Saturday. I've been to our local farmers market today, for the weekly vegi's.
Yesterday, I managed to finish up my latest project and took the pic's this morning to share with you. Since the TP gift-wrap surprise was such a hit with my mom and her friends, I just had to make some for Christmas.
They're light enough to hang on the tree if you'd like. They'd be great to fill with candies, nuts or even some moolah ;)
BTW... My moms little surprise was a key chain, that I knew she liked and it turns out she was more excited about the packaging it arrived in! You can see it here Recycled TP Mini Gift Bag, if you'd like.

Christmas in July ~ Recycled Style!!!
Hello and Happy Monday!!
How was your weekend? I see everyone has been very busy making fabulous things!!!
Last week, for me, was all about reorganizing, sorting and, as hard as it is, purging through all my craft supplies. I'm hoping to have it all wrapped up today, but it is 8 years of stuff. It's quite interesting to see how my taste has changed, since I began crafting back in 2006. My DH was very helpful, he ran out and bought clear plastic bins, made labels for the bins, drawers, folders and moved the heavy stuff for me. I'm looking forward to having this project completed, it feels so good to get things reorganized and to get rid of excess.
Here are a couple of July Christmas cards. I was inspired by seeing everyone else's fun July Christmas cards. They're made of all scraps and recycled Christmas cards. You can't see it in the picture, but the poinsettias, are behind a clear, acetate window. Recycle and reuse :):):)
Hope you like them.
I've submitted them in the Craftin Desert Divas for our Christmas in JulyChallenge.
Thank you for letting me know Lisa :):):)

New York Themed Cards!
A little unknown tidbit about me :) I was raised in California, but I'm originally from New York. Although I don't recall much about living in N.Y., I still have some family there and affection for the state. I would also love to visit some day.
Anyway, a good friend of my mothers, recently traveled there for a wedding and had asked me to create, a New York skyline, wedding card and here's what I came up with!
Oh and just for fun... Let's not forget a somewhat traditional I ♥ New York card!!!
Happy Monday!

"My thoughts are with you always"
On April 7th my Dear Granny Phyl passed away, just 3 days after her 83rd birthday. She was a kind loving soul and will miss her dearly. Her beautiful laughter will live on in my heart forever.
♥♥♥
This is the card I created for her daughter, my Aunt Patty.
I've hand-cut the card base, clouds and mountains. I u
sed Copics to color in the "Green Grass" image by Stamps Happen, Inc. and then fussy cut the image, leaving out the original sentiment and adding "My thoughts are with you always" in the clouds. I've also added a pretty little ribbon, lots of stitching and layers, as well.
Thanks for visiting... Wishing you all a wonderful week.

Jingle Cat Christmas Card
Here's a fun, non-traditional Christmas card... I was inspired by the cards Jingle background paper. This adorable image is by Magenta, I filled it in with Copics and Stickles. Added a bunch of stitching. Made a coordinating box, so the beautiful bow wouldn't get smushed ;)
Hope everyone had a nice weekend; eating, shopping, crafting, relaxing, etc.

Acustic Guitar Card... "Where Words Fail, Music Speaks."
Here's a cheerful little 5x5 card I made. I love guitars, have two of my own and can never resist any music oriented stamps. This cute little guitar image is by Inkadinkado, I filled it in with Copic's. The inside is finished off with a 2005 Stampin' Up verse. The shapes layered under the guitar were cut from Nestabilities dies. The fibers are a random, by the yard, clearance item from Joann's, they were my color inspiration. Card-base is Bazzill card stock.

Fun with Glitter & Cricut Holiday Cards 8 & 14
These were a couple of free cuts offered in CCR last week. Initially, I wasn't sure if what to do with them, but then I decided to spray adhesive on the side of the liner that was to be exposed on the front of each card and then poured glitter to fill each design (white glitter for the reindeer & silver glitter for the Happy Holidays), then a bit of sewing, some ribbons, stars and vuala.... Hope you like them.

365 Cards Challenge "2011" ~ Day 107 - Mega Movie Wednesday
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15, 2011
Day 107 - Mega Movie Wednesday

The lantern base, glass (velum), hardware, flame & shadows were cut using Cricut Country Life cartridge. At the base of the lamps hardware, I used a real piece of chain.
Since the sentiment was so tiny I couldn't cut it, so I printed it instead, but the "Let You Light Shine" portion of the sentiment is also from Cricut Country Life cartridge. The outside sentiment "In the brightest day. In the blackest night" is from the Green Lantern movie poster.
The sentiment plates were all cut using Cricut Disney Mickey Font cartridge.
The easel card base, background papers and box were hand cut.
Hope you like it!
