NASCAR Experience B-Day Card...

Addicted to NASCAR or perhaps there's a wonderful man in your life who is?
Well we are and for my DH's 50th, I bought him a NASCAR experience at Auto Club Speedway, where he'll learn to drive a real NASCAR all on his own.  Naturally I needed a super fun Birthday card to go with his gift.  I instantly remembered this cute little monster digi, I colored in a Copic class given by Michelle Houghton and thought he'd be an excellent place to begin. I added the checkered flags, to make the little cutie race ready ;)

Here's my DH's 50th Birthday card...  I hope you like it!

Sealed with a Fish....

OK... So it's been ages since I've posted and that's because I have a ton going on here.
When I have too much on my plate, I tend to lack creatively.
Which helps explains my recent card-lifting, (I normally don't), but I felt compelled to recreate this wonderful little gem, by the lovely and oh so talented Michele Kovack over at Thoughts of a Cardmaking Scapbooker!

Thank you for the inspiration Michele. xo

DH's Birthday Card.

Here's the card I created for my husband B-day this year.  I'd been dying to use this adorable Steampunk Owl (I colored him, with Copic's) for a while now and here's what I finely came up with.

My DH loved it!

Wander Where There Is No Path....

Crawling into bed one night, this idea popped into my head, I was far too exhausted to make a note as I normally would and thought for sure I would forget, but I didn't, YEAH :):):)

Made using:
Cricut Expression Machine, Design Studio & Heritage Cartridge (Bike with basket)
Copic Ciao Makers (Bike & Basket)
Stickles (Bike)
Hand cut and weaved (Basket weaving)

The bike was actually a whole bike that I sized to fit just the way you see it on my card. While I was assembling the card, I thought the basket would look better if I actually weaved it and I'm so glad I did. I just love textures and dimension.

Hope you like it.

Tulips, Scaps and a Serger...

The other night, while playing around on my serger, I came up with this little card.
I'd  stamped and glazed the tulips a while back for future use.  So, a few scraps, some stamped tulips, a little bit of serging and wala... An easy peasy card.
Hugs!

365 Cards Challenge "2011" ~ Day 107 - Mega Movie Wednesday

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15, 2011
Day 107 - Mega Movie Wednesday
The lantern base, glass (velum), hardware, flame & shadows were cut using Cricut Country Life cartridge. At the base of the lamps hardware, I used a real piece of chain.
Since the sentiment was so tiny I couldn't cut it, so I printed it instead, but the "Let You Light Shine" portion of the sentiment is also from Cricut Country Life cartridge. The outside sentiment "In the brightest day. In the blackest night" is from the Green Lantern movie poster.
The sentiment plates were all cut using Cricut Disney Mickey Font cartridge.
The easel card base, background papers and box were hand cut.
Hope you like it!

Blue Chevy Corvette Vintage Old 50's Car ~ Recycled Coffee Sleeve Handmade Greeting Card

More recycled coffee sleeve fun.... The background image is a recycled coffee sleeve.  As I mentioned in the past, one of my husbands friends, heard that I did paper crafting and he started collecting these discarded (perfectly pristine) coffee sleeves for me, years ago.  He thought they could be reused for something and as it turns out, he was right.  I've used them several times throughout the years on different projects.  They also work well punched into colorful flowers and such. To think these little treasures usually just get tossed :):):)

J's Rusty Old Nail Birthday Card....

Years ago, my DH gave me this rusty old nail shaped like a J (his name starts with a J). Then years later, right before his birthday, he surprised me with these cute little butterfly and dragonfly stamps. So I created this birthday card for him. He was thrilled that I had kept that rusty old nail and used it and his stamps on his b-day card... He still brags about the card today (years later)!

Fun Little Springtime Birdhouse Card w/ Coordinating Box...

Just some fun with my Cricut Expressions and DS!
The pics don't do the leaves justice, but they are colored with Pearl Ex Powder and have a great shimmer to them.  The 4 little birds a coated with Tim Holtz Distressed Stickles which gives them a really cool texture!

Here's a Card I Created for my Dear Friends Birthday...

The stamp is just gorgeous, it's by Stampa Rosa. I colored it in with Copic Ciao markers. The card base & box are made from a pretty pale yellow Bazzill cardstock. The card and box are also decorated with denim & orange colored papers, shear wire ribbon, real stitching, cuttlebug embossing, 2 of the tulips are 3 dimensional and the glittered letter A (for Amy) is Twinkle Type, by K&Company.

Hope she like it ;)
