Quick Little Birthday Balloon Cards....

Here's my version of some sweet little cards I made, after seeing this great video at JenniferMcGuireink.com.  Thanks Jennifer :):):)

My balloon body's are part Nestabilities circles & part hand cut. The ends of the balloons are also hand cut, with some bakers twine tied to them.  Then I just added some hand-stamped, embossed tags. It took less than 20 mins to make all four cards. Quick and easy!

Black Tie Sign Couple!

Hi, Happy Sunday!  I hope you all enjoyed your weekend.  I've graduated from reorganizing my craft space/supplies, to reorganizing the entire house, garage and potting shed.  My husband's reluctantly on board, but I'm sure he wishes I still had my day job :):):) I've ordered a small dumpster so we could purge, all the years of unnecessary collecting.  We've already made 2 donation trips to our local goodwill and I'm sure there will be more!

OK, so here's a simple little card idea I had before falling asleep one night and since I actually remembered it in the morning, I decided to bring it to life!
The couple, their black bow ties and heart are all covered in super fine glitter. Sure wish I would've captured that a bit better, it really makes it look adorable. Everything was cut via CCR, with my Cricut Expression. The entire couple is popped up for a 3D effect.

Hope you like it!

Christmas in July ~ Recycled Style!!!

Hello and Happy Monday!!

How was your weekend? I see everyone has been very busy making fabulous things!!!

Last week, for me, was all about reorganizing, sorting and, as hard as it is, purging through all my craft supplies. I'm hoping to have it all wrapped up today, but it is 8 years of  stuff.  It's quite interesting to see how my taste has changed, since I began crafting back in 2006.  My DH was very helpful, he ran out and bought clear plastic bins, made labels for the bins, drawers, folders and moved the heavy stuff for me.  I'm looking forward to having this project completed, it feels so good to get things reorganized and to get rid of excess.

Here are a couple of July Christmas cards.  I was inspired by seeing everyone else's fun July Christmas cards. They're made of all scraps and recycled Christmas cards.  You can't see it in the picture, but the poinsettias, are behind a clear, acetate window.  Recycle and reuse :):):)

Hope you like them.

I've submitted them in the Craftin Desert Divas for our Christmas in JulyChallenge

Thank you for letting me know Lisa :):):)

New York Themed Cards!

A little unknown tidbit about me :)  I was raised in California, but I'm originally from New York. Although I don't recall much about living in N.Y., I still have some family there and affection for the state.  I would also love to visit some day.

Anyway, a good friend  of my mothers, recently traveled there for a wedding and had asked me to create, a New York skyline, wedding card and here's what I came up with!

Oh and just for fun... Let's not forget a somewhat traditional I New York card!!!

Happy Monday!

Mini Gift Bag... (Recycled T.P. Roll!)

Hi Everyone!  Hope you had a nice long weekend :)

Since I've been itching to make some things from empty tp rolls and I had picked up a little something for my mom (shhh!!! It's a surprise) I decided to make her a fun little package.  This is my version of this sweet little package made by Becky Shander at Art & Illumination. Thank you, Becky!

First... I cut the bottom of the tp roll with a victorian cut, sewed that end shut, inked the edge of the top & bottom. Hot glued some scrap burlap all the way around the middle. Added 4 paper flowers secured with a polka-dot brad to the front center of the burlap. Punched eyelet sized holes at the top, sides of the open end and set eyelets to hold the wire handle. Added some washi tape above and below the burlap strip for some added fun.

Hope you like it!
