This tag was a labor of love... 

I created the manila tag in DS, I was having trouble finding  the exact shape I wanted.  Then cut three tags.  Coffee dyed 2 of the the tags, crinkled them up while they were still wet, then unfolded them gently. Inked them both with some distress ink, then used glimmer mist and then let the 2 tags dry, in-between paper and under a heavy book, overnight.  Kept the 3rd tag clean and crisp, so it could be use later between the other 2 tags, for support.

The next day, I stamped & embossed my desired images on each tag, then painted black crackle paint randomly on both tags.  Dried them with a heat gun and then sanded the black crackle paint, just a bit.  Now for some clear crackle and a tad bit of glitter. Once the 2 tags dried, I glued the three tags together (clean 3rd tag between the 2 processed tags).  Used the sewing machine to randomly pierce holes where I desired them. Then proceeded to hand thread (only in a few of the holes) with hand embroidery type thread. Outlined the unused hole with black marker. Base tag done!

Decorated the tag with my very own hand stamped, handmade cloth flowers & cloth ribbon.  Used some burlap, buttons, beads, and a hand stamped partial body.  The "partial body" was stamped on a recycled envelope (interior) which I mounted to a piece of cardboard (for support), so I could pop it off the tag with some foam tape.  Pierce holes down the missing side of the body. Then proceeded to hand thread (only in a few of the holes) with the same embroidery type thread, that was used on the tag. Outlined the unused hole with black marker.  Used some black crackle, glitter, beauty rubber stamp and glittered personal handwriting for the word inner.  

Added a heart rhinestone and wala... A labor of love! 

I LOVE My New Custom DELUXE 12x12 Paper Storage!!!

 My wonderful husband created this fabulous paper storage with drawers and counter top, for my studio....

   Recently I asked my DH if he could make me a wooden paper storage.  About 6 months ago, I had purchased a paper storage rolling cart from Joann's.  This cart wasn't cheap, but pretty junkie. It was to weak to hold the 6 plastic containers it came with.  Now the one my DH constructed is ultra deluxe, it holds 8 plastic paper containers full of paper, 6 drawers from another rollie cart I had, an extra large wooden drawer (DH also made) and an additional work surface... Pretty amazing :):):)

I'm a huge George Strait fan... Love, Love, Love his music! When Blue was an itty bitty kitten and I had 1st brought him home from the shelter, within 3-days he was deathly ill. To comfort him, I would let him lay on my chest, pet him gently and sing George Strait's song "Baby Blue" to him (real quite) and it seemed to sooth the poor little guy. So, from that time forward, this was "Blue's" song, I sang in to him for years and he knew it was his song :):):)

Black Cats & Bats ~ Halloween Petal Card

Thank you, Beate, over at Splitcoaststampers, for last Wednesday's awesome & easy to follow tutorial – The Petal Card.

 Here's my "Petal Card” and the details: 

The headstone tag & spiders were cut from Cricut's Happy Hauntings. The gear edged circle's were cut form Cricut's Elegant Edges & the plain circles were cut from George.  Cat on the fence image by: Sandy Miller Art Stamps, Bat images by: Hero Arts & Spider web image by: D.O.T.S.  Bazzill card-stocks, Martha Stewart Polka dot papers and other misc papers, ribbons & glitter.

"Straight From The Nest " Birdcage Card... Inspired By A Magazine Ad!

Created in Design Studio... Inspired by Tim Holtz "Townscape"!

6. Beyond Birthdays:  House #4, Brown Banner (footing), Merry Christmas
7. Accent Essentials:  Extra Windows (for the houses)

• In DS... Placed, stretched and/or squeezed each item to my liking.  Welded it all together.  Selected the word "dog" on the dog house, not to cut.  Cut everything out of white card-stock x3 (extras are for envelope, inside, 3d & shadow effects).  Colored it all in, in a childlike fashion, for effect. Decorated Christmas Tree with a string of mini lights. Assembled on card as shown. It was that easy!

Tulips, Scaps and a Serger...

The other night, while playing around on my serger, I came up with this little card.  

I'd  stamped and glazed the tulips a while back for future use.  So, a few scraps, some stamped tulips, a little bit of serging and wala... An easy peasy card.
